I am writing this review here because Letterbox does not provide Bungou Stray Dogs. The disespect, though.

The story combines the modernity as well as the supernatural factors which I found a bit off. I am not sure those two factors are smoothly blended even though it is still acceptable. How do you have supernatural power in the modern era without science-factor explanation? However, I found something unique for each individual character, especially Dazai. As a supporting character, he has more screen time than the main character itself, Atsushi. When I watched eps 1, it created confusion on my mind that Dazai has a hobby of committing suicide. I thought it was a joke but he really insisted? As a non-manga reader, I will never understand what factor behind his weird-ass trait (though I knew this character was inspired by the real Dazai Osamu who tried to commit suicide many times in real life). He said in one episode of season 3 that this life was meaningless, hence it was better to die anyway (is that just it?). In the early episode, I can still enjoy the jokes and humor but as the episode and season go by, it is getting darker and darker and I found the murdering scenes are a bit as uncomfortable as Demon Slayer and it screws me up to clearly understand the individual powers. Both Atsushi and Akutagawa represent individual characters in real life. One is trapped in the past and unable to see his talent and another one is thirsty over recognition. Hence I love their interaction as well as Dazai and Odasamu but can’t lie that I love Dazai and Chuuya’s relationship also: enemy – partner – enemy. They want to kill each other but at the same time willing to take care of each other. Anyway, I will give 3 for the story only (even until now, I still do not have any ideas about the purpose of Port Mafia and Armed Detective Agency existence) and 4.5 for the characters so in total it is 4. Wait, I also love the opening soundtrack of Season 2 so much (finally, Cry Baby is not alone on my Anime playlist LOL).
